Poster, Concept Art & Title Design

The project

Set in 1665, Posies tells the story of a group of siblings and their struggles during the time of the Black Death. It’s a blend of history and drama – taking inspiration from films such The Road, Grave of the Fireflies and Let the Right One In to tell a story of lost innocence and survival.

What I did

I created pre-production concept art that informed key scenes as well as the set design used for the shoot. I also created a subtle, sophisticated feel for the set of title credits for the project.

The poster design features an image of the cast breaking up into flower petals, as a way of suggesting the destructive side of the Black Death and how it disintegrated peoples lives. It was key that it pulled to the audience directly into the world of the film while hinting at the wider story.

“I'm so pleased with the results. I'm definitely going to keep going back to Adam as he has a real eye for design and guided us through the process wonderfully. We had so much interest generated for the projects from his artwork alone, they are visually stunning & eye catching.”
